About the Host

Isabel is originally from Liberia, West Africa, and is the youngest of 8, and currently resides in the DMV area. She has always enjoyed playing and watching basketball from a young age. She played junior varsity and varsity basketball for her high school, Herndon High, prior to matriculating to University of Virginia where she continued playing intramural basketball. After completing her bachelor’s and graduate degrees, Isabel participated in several women basketball leagues in the DMV.

Along with being a sports enthusiast, she also appreciates eating a variety of delectable food and desserts. She prepares some of her favorite dishes at home, and at other times, she dines out. She has a palate for knowing good food and desserts and would often share her dining experiences with her family and friends. Her family has often said that once she has described a dish she likes, they want to try it immediately. And after doing so, they find her raving review of the food or dessert, whether they purchased or prepared it, or went to the restaurant that she recommended, to be exactly as she had described.
